Life Around Charleston
Daniel Island
Daniel Island is a small island off of Charleston situated between the Cooper and Wando Rivers. The island was awarded the Urban Land Institute’s 2007 “Award for Excellence” because of its fast growth and unique suburban life. This is a close knit community with top amenities including ships, restaurants, churches, a private country club and world-class medical and sport facilities. Daniel Island is just a short drive from downtown, Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms.
Folly Beach
Known by locals as “The Edge of America,” Folly Beach provides an escape from everyday living less than thirty minutes from Downtown Charleston, SC. Residents of this ‘destination vacation-spot’ intermingle with the year-round tourists, contributing to the overall easy-going-good-time Folly Beach vibe.
The island mostly attracts college students to young adults because of their alcohol policy: they allow it.
Of course no glass is allowed, but if you want to spend your sunny afternoon in a laid back environment this is the place for you. The local restaurants are no exception to the mellow vibe that surrounds the island.
Isle of Palms

This is a popular vacation spot because of its abundance in activities, dining and night life. These rules make the island a safe, clean and upscale family get-away.
