School is back in session and it is finally starting to feel like fall in the Lowcountry. There are many great events going on this month throughout the city. Here are our top picks for the month of September:
- Lowcountry Jazz Festival (September 1-3): Now in its 9th year, the Lowcountry Jazz Festival has become a celebrated Charleston tradition, attracting both local and national artists. The weekend-long event will take place at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center with concerts taking place Friday through Sunday.
- Charleston Restaurant Week (September 6-17): Its that time of year again! Charleston Restaurant Week is back. The 12-day event showcases Charleston’s culinary talent with over 50 restaurants offering prix fixe menus at restaurants throughout the city. Reservations can fill up quickly so make sure to plan in advance!
- Charleston Beer Week (September 9-16): Charleston is quickly becoming known for its budding craft beer scene with numerous breweries throughout the city. The 5th Annual Beer Week celebrates the industry with lots of events taking place at local breweries including tastings, special dinners, activities and more.
