The Cassina Guide: September 2018 Events

With school back in session, summer is drawing to a close here in Charleston.  The weather is still perfect for enjoying outdoor activities, with some of our favorite fall events taking place this month.  Here are some of our picks for September:

        1. Charleston Restaurant Week (September 5-16):  Charleston Restaurant Week is always a hotly anticipated fall event.  The 12-day event, beginning on September 5th, is a celebration of Charleston’s culinary scene, with participating restaurants offering a prix fixe menu with multiple courses.  Check out the website for all participating restaurants and make sure to make reservations!                                                                 (Image from Charleston Restaurant Week)
        2. Charleston Water Week (September 8-16):  Charleston Water Week kicks off on September 8th with dozens of water-related activities.  Boat cruises, kayak trips, beachside yoga and Dog Day afternoons at area water parks are just some of the fun events scheduled throughout the week.  Visit the event’s website for a full list.                                                                        (Image from Charleston Water Week)
        3. 2nd Annual Southern Fried Chicken Challenge (September 8): Local and regional restaurants will compete to make the most delicious fried chicken.  The day-long event will feature sample dishes and live music in North Charleston’s Riverfront Park.                                                  (Image from 2nd Annual Southern Fried Chicken Challenge)
