We’ve been having a hard time believing its really November (with our recent 80 degree weather). Regardless, now is the time to get into the festive fall spirit with many autumn-themed events taking place this month. We’ve narrowed it down to our top four picks!
1) Harvest Festival: A celebration of all things fall, the 11th annual Harvest Festival will celebrate a bountiful harvest season with a day of feasting, bluegrass music, holiday crafts and activities for the kids. Sponsored by Charleston County Parks, the event will take place on November 7th from 11am-5pm at the Mullet Hall Equestrian Center.
2) Charleston Food Film Festival: This unique event combines two of our favorite things–movies and food! Over the four day festival, an eclectic grouping of hand-chosen films about food will be shown at the Cedar Room, followed by a meal inspired by the film. The festival will occur November 11-14 with proceeds benefiting Slow Food Charleston and grow Food Carolina.
3) Smoke on the Harbor: There are few things more Southern than Carolina BBQ! On November 13th and 14th, some of the South’s most celebrated BBQ competitors will converge at the Harbor Resort & Marina for a two-day tasting festival culminating in the naming of a “Grand BBQ Champion.”

The 5k race starts at 9am on Thanksgiving morning at Marion Square and ends with live music, free beer, family activities and more in Marion Square.
