Fall is one of the best times of year in Charleston. With cooler temperatures and beautiful weather, there is no shortage of fun outdoor events to enjoy. Here are some of our top picks for the month of November:
- Harvest Festival (November 2): Come out and celebrate the fall harvest season at Johns Island County Party on November 2nd from 11am-5pm. The festival will feature live bluegrass music along with hayrides, pumpkin decorating and more, with food and crafts available for purchase.
(Image from Harvest Festival) - Lights of Magnolia (opens November 15th): Starting in November and running through March, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens will be transformed nightly into a magical wonderland. The lantern festival, a centuries-old Chinese tradition, will occupy over 9 acres of the plantation with 23 themed displays.

Organized by the Knights of Columbus, the family-friendly event winds through downtown Charleston, ending in Marion Square Park with free food, beer, music and kids activities.
