Summer is off to a great start in Charleston! Fourth of July is right around the corner and there are plenty of fun activities taking place throughout the rest of the month. Here are some of our top picks for July:
- Fourth of July Events (July 4th)–There’s nothing better than Fourth of July in the Lowcountry–and no shortage of places to celebrate. The River Dogs will celebrate a night early with a home game and fireworks. On Independence Day, head out to one of the area beaches to enjoy one of the many fireworks displays or participate in a dinner cruise, party at the aquarium or other July 4th themed event. - Movies on the Beach (July 5, 12, 19, 26)–Every Wednesday this month, Folly Beach will be transformed into an amazing outdoor movie theatre–with the sand and ocean as your backdrop. The movies vary from week to week and all are free to attend. (Photo from Charleston Margarita Festival)
- Charleston Margarita Festival (July 14th)–What says summer better than an ice cold margarita? On July 14th, Brittlebank Bank Park will be transformed as 25 of the area’s bars and restaurants complete to make the best margarita with great food, beer and live music too.
