Before the chaos of the holidays sets in, take time to enjoy a few signature Charleston events this month. Here are some of our top picks for November:
- Charleston Farmers Market (November 4, 11, 18 & 25): With cooler weather here to stay, now is a great time to visit the Farmers Market. Marion Square Park is transformed into a large outdoor market every Saturday (from 8am-2pm) with a collection of farmers, growers, food vendors, artisans, crafters and more.

- Lowcountry Hoedown (November 4): If you’re looking for something to do on Saturday evening, head over to the Visitor Center Bush Shed for a celebration of “Southern fare and libations…set to a fiddle!” The ticket price includes food, cocktails, beer and live music with proceeds benefiting local nonprofit The Harbor Entrepreneur Center.

- Steeplechase of Charleston (November 12): Put on your best hat and head over to The Plantation at Stono Ferry Racetrack to watch the Steeplechase. The track is located in Hollywood, SC (within Charleston County) and gates open at 9am with five races throughout the course of the day.
