Summer is in full swing here in the Lowcountry. In addition to spending days at the beach and evenings enjoying meals al fresco, there are a host of activities taking place throughout the city. Here are our top picks for August:
1. Holy City Farmers Market (August 11th, 18th & 25th): Every Wednesday from 4-7pm, Holy City Brewing will host a Farmers Market featuring local producers and small businesses. Enjoy shopping while sipping on one of the brewery’s popular libations.
2. Acoustic Nights on the Green (August 12th, 19th & 26th): If you enjoy live music, this is the event for you. Every Thursday in August, Freshfields Village at the entrance to Kiawah Island will host a local acoustic group from 6-9pm. Bring chairs and blankets to spread out on the lawn while enjoying the music!
3. SC Reggae Jerk Wine Festival (August 29th): Head to Brittlebank Park on August 29th to enjoy a celebration of Jamaican culture. The all day event will feature jerk foods, wine, a local artists showcase and reggae music.
