The Cassina Guide: September Events

There’s never a shortage of things to do in Charleston.  With the weather FINALLY cooling down (we hope), now is a great time to get out and enjoy some of the fun events taking place around the city this month.  Here are three of our favorites:

Charleston Harbor

1) Blues & BBQ Harbor Cruise: take an evening cruise aboard the Carolina Queen while enjoying live blues music from Shrimp City Slim and delectable BBQ from HomeTeam.  The 2-hour cruise departs from the City Marina every Thursday at 7pm and offers great views of the city’s iconic landmarks.

Shagging on the Cooper

2) Shagging on the Cooper: dance the night away on the Mount Pleasant Pier with live music, food and beverages.  This month’s event will take place on Saturday, September 12th with live music featuring the Ocean Drive Party Band.  Gates open at 7pm and music starts at 8pm!

3)  35th Annual Taste of Charleston: 50 of the Lowcountry’s top restaurants come together to put on a 3-day food festival at historic Boone Hall Plantation. A perfect way to try some of the city’s top eats without breaking the bank!  This year’s event will take place on September 27th from 10am-5pm.
