For those who are no stranger to the Mount Pleasant area, you’ve probably seen the recent additions of Carolina Park’s “neighborhood-shed” signs on Highway 17. What you may have not seen is the recent growth behind Wando High School. With now 5 premier builders, houses in Carolina Park have been sprouting up quickly. No longer are the roads decorated with trees, but instead Charleston-style houses. The other week, they added in the neighborhood swimming pool and finished off the clubhouse. From what everyone can see, Carolina Park is in full swing.
The Introduction of Riverside to Carolina Park
Sitting directly adjacent to Carolina Park, across Darrell Creek Trail, are the seedlings of a “sister-luxury” neighborhood called Riverside. With more spacious lots, these homes will come at a higher price than those in Carolina Park, but they will also feature more amenities. Only beginning construction has started, with the trees being cleared out for builders, but by the next couple years, it won’t be surprising to see this area fully developed.
Why Carolina Park Sets Itself Apart
It’s easy to say that Carolina Park will offer an unique living experience connected with a genuine sense of community, but here’s why:
- Located Very Close to Mt. Pleasant’s Top Schools, i.e. Wando High, Cairo Middle, and Pinckney Elementary
- Healthcare Services: Roper St. Francis Hospital
- Faith: Palmetto Presbyterian Church, St. Benedict Catholic Church, Seacoast Church (coming soon)
- Recreational Facilities include bike paths, walking trails, swimming pools, sports fields, and kayak launch to the Wando River
With newly constructed homes and state-of-the-art amenities, it’s easy to see why Carolina Park will set itself apart from the other neighborhoods in the near future.
