Mt. Pleasant’s 2014 Lowcountry Oyster Festival

The holidays have ended and warm weather is nowhere in sight, but Charleston residents have something to look forward to this month. For the past 25 years, The Lowcountry Oyster Festival has been locals’ must-attend event. Whether you are an oyster lover or just love a good time, you don’t want to miss this renowned event! In addition to the delicious oysters, guests enjoy food and beverages, live entertainment, kids’ activities, oyster eating contest, and much more.

Must-Know Information:

  • Where: Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant
  • When: January 26, 2014 from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Gates open early at 10:00 am.
  • Tickets: General admission tickets can be purchased in advanced for 20.00 or at the door for 25.00. VIP Tickets can be purchased for 100.00 (includes admission to VIP tent with complementary food and drinks). Ticket availability is limited so hurry to get yours now!

How the Festival Works:

Upon being dropped off by the shuttle at Boone Hall Plantation, you’ll take a scenic tour as you make your way to the entrance. Food is purchased with tickets you buy on site. With your tickets you will be able to enjoy oysters, selections from top local eateries, and beverages and spirits. Crackers and oyster sauce are provided, but you’ll want to bring your own oyster shuckers and gloves or purchase some at the festival. Think you can shuck faster or eat more oysters than anyone else? Sign up for oyster eating and shucking contests at the main stage! Listen to the live music or let the kids burn off energy in the jump castles!

Parking:

Complementary parking and shuttle service is included with your ticket. You may choose one of three locations to park and then ride the shuttle to Boone Hall. Shuttles service is provided from 9:30 am until 5:30 pm.

Food Trucks: BlackJack BBQ, Dukes BBQ, Hubee D’s, Rollin South

Desserts: Dixie Supply Bakery & Cafe, Wando High Culinary Arts
