Since we are finally into the chilly season here in Charleston (and we use that term lightly), we’re looking for a cozier spot to grab a pre or post-dinner drink. While most of the year we are fans of the rooftops in town, for a few short months we seek out the tucked away, fireplace-adorned spots. We’re letting you on our favorites – the more the merrier!
1) The Belmont
Tuck yourself away in a back corner of this little bar on Upper King with a deliciously-concocted cocktail and treat yourself to some homemade poptarts – they’re a can’t-miss!
2) Zero George
The drawing rooms at Zero George hotel are perfect for curling up with a glass of wine and one of their stellar cheese plates. The fireplace may be faux, but the warmth of this hotel is definitely real.
3) Bar Mash
New to the scene, Bar Mash at the Cigar Factory is perfect for cold weather drinking and dining. The big leather booths invite you to sip slowly and enjoy the atmosphere.
The epitome of cozy, the Spectator Hotel’s bar is decorated to the nines with twenties-inspired decor. With ample seating and an ambient atmosphere, you’ll be drinking Old Fashion Revolutions all night long.
Where’s your favorite winter spot?
