2012 marked a great year for Charleston real estate. An increase in the number of transactions, as well as an increase in home prices, made it a great time for local buyers, investors and those looking for a second home in the area. January seems to be off to an equally strong start, and we expect these good trends from 2012 to continue into 2013.
Our company experienced a year of unparalleled growth. In addition to adding several agents to our roster, we also relocated our offices to Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. The added visibility has allowed us to become a greater part of the East Copper community—a role we look to forward to further cultivating in the coming months.
Our year in sales was also impressive. Our agents handled 233 transactions for a total of $96 million in sales volume—a 185% increase in volume from 2011. These figures placed us in the top 2% of real estate offices in Charleston.
We are so thankful for all of the wonderful clients we were able to work with in 2012, and look forward to a productive 2013!
