Grover Maxwell IV’s love for the Lowcountry started over 15 years ago when he moved to Charleston for the College of Charleston and simply never left. The water, the pace, the people, it all felt right from day one.

He now lives with his family in Bayview Acres, Mount Pleasant, in the same neighborhood he’s called home for years. Before stepping into residential real estate, Grover spent time in commercial real estate investment sales at the industry’s largest firm. That experience sharpened his eye for contracts, value, and negotiation, and it’s exactly what he brings to every client with care and precision.

A proud board member of the Young Ambassadors Council for the First Tee of Greater Charleston, Grover stays deeply rooted in the community that welcomed him as a college kid. He believes relationships matter far more than any single transaction, and his local network and lived experience are what help sellers move quickly and buyers find the right fit in Mount Pleasant, Downtown Charleston, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, and James Island.

When he’s not working with clients, Grover is usually coaching the next generation through First Tee programs or carving out quiet time with his wife and kids doing the simple things that make Lowcountry life feel like home. This is the most beautiful place in the world, and he hopes to share it with you.

FAVORITE STREET IN CHARLESTON Legare Street downtown. Some of my favorite evenings are spent walking under those massive oaks - it’s the one place where the city feels timeless and I can actually slow down and breathe.

FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN CHARLESTON Indaco on King Street. It’s a staple for us. Sit at the chef’s table in the back and you get the full view of the kitchen in action. The energy back there is unbeatable.

FAVORITE ACTIVITY OUTSIDE OF WORK Getting on the water with my wife and kids. We love being outdoors all year long. Golfing, boating, and beach time are our favorites.

FAVORITE LOCAL PRODUCT Free Fly Apparel. Their bamboo shirts are the only thing that actually stays comfortable when the Lowcountry humidity kicks in, I live in them on weekends.

FAVORITE ANNUAL EVENT July 4th in Charleston. The Sullivan’s Island fireworks followed by the Old Village parade have become our family tradition - the kids count down to it all year.

MUST-SEE SPOT IN CHARLESTON The view from the top of the Ravenel Bridge. You see the whole harbor open up in front of you. It's the kind of sight that still hits me the same way it did the first time I crossed it.
