Gates first entered the world of real estate as a commercial broker. After building a successful career in commercial real estate sales, he found his passion working directly with clients, launching into residential real estate shortly thereafter. He became a realtor in 2014 and the experience he has in both sectors of the real estate business makes him a valued member of The Cassina Group.

Gates, an avid sportsman, can be found fly fishing the backcountry, golfing with friends, playing squash at Charleston Squash Club, or on the beach with his family. He currently lives in Old Mount Pleasant with his wife, Victoria, two daughters, Banner and Rivers, and two labs, Hank and Jerry.
