Mary Beth Wichlei
Real estate has never been merely a career choice for Mary Beth. It's been a part of who she is for as long as she can remember. Raised in a real estate family, she began apprenticing under her mother, a top producing REALTOR® in Columbia SC, before she even earned her high school diploma. Over the last 16 years, she has acquired a varied mix of experience. After establishing herself as a general REALTOR®, her curiosity for construction led her to work for national and regional home builders as a community sales manager. The experience educated her, not only in home construction, but also in interior design and marketing.
Seven years later, Mary Beth and her husband relocated to Miami, FL, where she practiced commercial real estate as a member of the #1 real estate team in Florida. Focusing primarily on acquisitions and dispositions, the experience took her ability to serve clients to a level she never imagined possible. She loves to think outside of the box with her clients. To find that perfect property, sometimes you have to re-imagine a structure or even see an off-market property as one that may be available.
Over the years, she and her husband have spent much of their free time traveling the globe. Though one thing they will always agree on is there is no better place to call home than Charleston, South Carolina. In their eyes, Paris and Rome pale in comparison to the Holy City. The charm that exists here and within its people is nothing short of magical.
Mary Beth is glad to be back home in “the real south” and has established a home in Harleston Village with her husband and adorable Bassett Hound / Corgi Mix, Oscar. As a couple, they love to renovate properties, play golf, tennis, and are members of the Charleston Yacht Club.
