He was raised in a small town in East Tennessee and went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. With a love for the outdoors, Charleston was a clear choice when searching for a place to set his roots. Following college, Mat specialized in internet-based marketing, advertising, and sales while working for a Fortune 500 company. Mat went on to spend several years working in the landscape management & design field, where he specialized in residential and commercial accounts. Naturally, Mat pursued a career in real estate after working to meet the aesthetic needs of home owners and small business owners. His experiences have taught him to not only understand what a client is looking for, but also how to deliver their dream home.
